Mid ruby with soft rim. Toasty and cedary oak spice on the nose over spicy blackberry fruit. Dry and almost chalky on the palate, still quite youthful but everything is meshed in to give a refined, rather subtle whole – more subtle on the palate than I expected from that toasty aroma though the oak is still palpable.
