(made from old-vine fruit grown in the Clos Forentin vineyard acquired in 2009): Light yellow-gold. An array of ripe, mineral-tinged orchard and pit fruit scents are accompanied by hints of fig, beeswax and anise. Chewy and concentrated on the palate, offering sappy yellow peach and bitter pear skin flavors enlivened by a jolt of orange zest. Shows excellent clarity and thrust on the incisive finish, which leaves suave honey and floral notes behind.
