Very very deep, dark syrupy appearance. This smells like crushed blackberry port and then tastes awfully tart and unbalanced to me. Not for me but certainly for those who seek mass and alcohol. (JR)

The 2005 Shiraz Reserve was aged in 100% new French oak for 24 months. It has a super expressive nose of pain grille, smoked meat, game, pencil lead, licorice, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur. Voluptuous, full-bodied, and layered, this sexy wine is very intense and concentrated with enough structure to evolve for 10-12 years. Drink it through 2030.
