Tasting notes
The 2016 Dame de Boüard is an attractive second wine from the de Boüard family's Montagne Saint Émilion property. Plump and juicy, with lovely red fruit character, the 2016 will drink well upon release.

The 2016 La Dame de Bouärd has a perfumed nose, not intense but displaying attractive pressed violet and potpourri aromas that are nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, moderate acidity, a little foursquare towards the finish but it serves well as a Deuxième Vin. The 2016 La Dame de Bouard has a medium to deep garnet-purple color with pronounced tar, blackberry pie and mocha notes that give way to plum preserves and underbrush scents. Medium to full-bodied, the palate features a pleasant grainy frame supporting the generous fruit, finishing on a cedary note. Nov 2018, www.robertparker.com
