Tasting notes
Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2016 La Dame de Bouärd sports lovely red and black cherries, warm plums and boysenberry scents with wafts of sassafras and underbrush. Medium-bodied with a pleasantly chewy texture and plenty of juicy red and black fruit in the mouth, it has an earthy finish.

This is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard. The 2016 La Dame de Boüard has a pretty, forward style as well as plenty of black raspberry and strawberry fruits, notes of spring flowers, medium body, light tannins, tons of charm, and a delicious, easy-drinking style. It's a perfect wine to drink over the coming 4-5 years.
The 2016 Dame de Boüard, the second wine of Clos de Boüard, purchased by Coralie de Boüard in this same year, offers light brambly black fruit and light floral aromas on the nose. The palate is soft on the entry, with gritty tannin, but feels a little hard on the finish.
This has very attractive violets, plums and purple fruit on offer with a very plush and elegant feel on the palate, as well as a polished and long aftertaste. Super long and elegant. Very polished. 60 per cent merlot and 40 per cent cabernet franc. Try from 2023.
