(13% alcohol; made entirely from vines in Flagey-Echézeaux, which Laurent says yield a finer style than vines in Vosne-Romanée proper; includes a lot of premier cru Les Rouges): Dark red. Captivating floral lift to the fruit-driven aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry. Silky and fine-grained, communicating a very suave, restrained sweetness to its red berry flavors. Utterly seamless wine with a long, scented finish featuring a fine dusting of tannins and noteworthy energy. Should make an excellent village wine.
