Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015
The 2013 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a very elegant bouquet that, for this writer, demonstrates more panache and joie de vivre compared to the Clos de Vougeot. There is that essence of purity here that is captivating. The palate is focused and full of tension with beautifully interwoven new oak. It is smooth and poised, silky and long. This is a very well-crafted Echézeaux from Thomas Coquard and it should give a couple of decade's pleasure.
