Score 85/100 · Drink 2017-2021, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2017

The 2014 Moulin de Duhart offers simple but attractive blackberry and bilberry scents on the nose, still with that tincture of the Gironde Estuary. The palate is medium-bodied with uncomplicated ferrous fruit, perhaps just missing some backbone, easy-drinking in style with a sandalwood tinged finish. Drink over the next three or four years.

The Merlot-based Moulin de Duhart is a very pretty, silky wine to drink now and over the next few years. Succulent red stone fruit, tobacco, sweet floral notes and soft contours give the wine much of its forward, inviting personality. This is a very pretty second wine from Duhart-Milon.
