Tasting notes
Lovely perfumed nose, herbal touches, black pepper spice, balsamic, sour cherry. Rich intense core of dark red ripe juicy fruits. Very forward, with fine grained ripe tannins, backbone of ripe acidity and a long finish. Superb. Classic, traditional Barolo; a banker for any occasion.

Giacomo Grimaldi's 2013 Barolo offers sophisticated and savory tones that are beautifully integrated within the wine's bright and vibrant fruit. The bouquet exhibits pretty balance and harmony. In terms of mouthfeel, the wine offers solid textural richness and firm structure.
The 2013 Barolo is a big, intense wine with a huge core of fruit and serious power to back it all up. The flavors are dark and boldly sketched in this ample, brooding Barolo from Grimaldi. All the elements are very nicely balanced. Readers should expect a rich, fruit-driven 2013 with plenty of near and medium term appeal.
A dense and velvety wine with lovely chocolate and berry character. Medium to full body and velvety tannins. Drink in 2019.
