Strong quince/apple aroma. Yeasty and intense. Again a wine that is full-flavoured and distinctive in style rather than refined but none the worse for that. Intense baked-apple richness. More a food wine than an aperitif. (JH)

100% Chardonnay, barrel-fermented and aged seven months before bottling. Malo blocked. 7-8 g/l dosage. Some attractive development on the nose. Some toastiness and breadth but a little loose-knit. And then something rather metallic on the end. (JR)
