Tasting notes
Proof that the neglected appellation of Listrac can produce serious wines that have concentration and structure. Delicate bitter-chocolate and blackcurrant aromas on the nose, then elegant dry tannins on the palate. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot. Drink or hold.

The 2016 Mayne Lalande is racy and giving, just as it was from barrel. Plum, chocolate and licorice give this Listrac a good deal of concentration, suppleness and darkness, and yet all the elements come together nicely.
The 2016 Mayne Lalande is a rich, sumptuous wine. Readers should expect a bold, deep Listrac with plenty of fruit intensity and suppleness. Best of all, the 2016 should be a tasty early drinker. Hubert de Boüard consults.
The violet coloured fruit is bristling, showing notes of raspberry coulis. There is a very attractive pressure from the tannins holding it all together, making for an enjoyable early to medium drinking wine. Apr 2017, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2023-2038
