The second wine of Cantenac Brown, the 2016 Brio de Cantenac is a solid, medium-bodied, elegant wine that’s very much in the style of the vintage with its elegant profile. Lots of Merlot-driven black cherry, violet, and tobacco notes flow to a medium-bodied 2016 that has light tannins and a clean, juicy finish. It’s already delicious, but I suspect it will keep for over a decade.

The 2016 BriO de Cantenac Brown is rich and dense in the glass, with generous dark fruit, chocolate, leather, licorice, smoke, tobacco and charcoal notes. This sumptuous, bold second wine from Cantenac Brown is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next few years. As with the Grand Vin, the BriO is a decidedly opulent wine.

Dark cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco, chocolate and licorice give the 2016 BriO de Cantenac Brown much of its voluptuous personality. This is an especially unctuous, ripe wine built on a core of dark fruit. Forward and juicy, the 2016 offers plenty of immediacy.
