Tasting notes
The 2016 Clos Puy Arnaud is rich and fleshy, evoking aromas of crème de cassis, violet, graphite, spices and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, it’s an exuberant wine with dense, powdery structuring tannins. This wine will drink well today and for the next five years.

The 2016 Clos Puy Arnaud is a fabulous wine. Rich, boisterous and full of fruit, the 2016 is simply gorgeous. Bright red raspberry, blood orange, mint and wild flowers all race out of this sumptuous, silky, exceptionally beautiful Côtes de Castillon. All of the elements meld together in a sumptuous, super-expressive wine that hits all the right notes. Clos Puy Arnaud is one of the classiest wines of the vintage. Don't miss it.
Biodynamic. Sweet start and lots of wild, fresh fruit. Very distinctive. Rather dry finish. But only after a very unusual array of flower and fruit flavours. (JR)
The 2016 Clos Puy Arnaud is a tremendous wine and a serious overachiever. Bright, perfumed and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2016 is exceptionally nuanced. The red and purplish-hued fruit and floral notes are delineated and precise. Above all else, the 2016 is a wine of distinction. This is a terrific showing from proprietor Thierry Valette.
