Tasting notes
At once ripe yet cool with minty freshness, this Haut-Médoc has plenty of moderately dry tannins and currant fruit character to carry it. Good length. Drink or hold.

The 2016 Larrivaux is fabulous. Pliant and expressive, with lovely aromatic top notes, the 2016 has a lot to offer. Red cherry fruit, flowers and mint all inform this understated yet very pretty Haut-Médoc. The 2016 is a wine of total harmony and class.
Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Larrivaux gives up warm blackberries, redcurrants and cherries with nuances of earth, herbs and tobacco. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing, with some chewy grip and an earthy finish.
Dark crimson. Good minerally freshness on the nose. Juicy fruit and mineral overlay. Very appetising without being especially dramatic. Just the ticket for a fine, affordable 2016. GV ? Drying end. But then there is admirable persistence. (JR)
