(just three barrels, one of them new; this cuvée is always made from the same parcel of 55-year-old vines): Bright yellow with a green tinge. Musky, highly complex aromas of tangerine, lime, coconut and nut oil. Sweet and thick on entry, showing superb depth of fruit, then more precise and linear on the back half, boasting outstanding intensity and energy to its pineapple and lime flavors. This is higher in acidity than the regular Genevrières and finishes with terrific lift and grip.

(one new barrel and two two-year-old barrels; I tasted a representative blend; malo done and sulfited; 13.8% natural alcohol): Healthy bright, green-tinged yellow. Quite withdrawn on the nose, hinting at peach, pineapple and gingery oak. Densely packed, sappy and sweet, conveying a powerful impression of extract. The wine's great volume and sucrosite are leavened by chewy minerality. Finishes tactile, gripping and extremely long, with outstanding dusty lift. Stunning potential here, one of my early candidates for premier cru of the vintage.
