Tasting notes
50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby, tinged with garnet. There’s a mouldy cellar smell at first, then it opens up to sweet, ripe cherries, sage, violets, anise and balsamic. Very herbaceous. The tannins are still sandpapery, but it’s otherwise very open and smooth. Good to drink now but will age a bit longer, too. (JRL)

50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc. A Bolgheri in anything but name. Impenetrable deep ruby. Seductive, generous nose of cassis and dark cherry with well judged, oak notes. Reminds a little bit of Bordeaux but this is riper, more voluptuous with generous dark fruit and balancing acidity. International styled, and with silky tannins, and completely ready now. (WS)
The 2015 Orma is absolutely rich in intensity and thick in extract. The sunny 2015 vintage is all about exuberance and gosh you do get that here. This is a viscerally exciting wine with a large load of dark fruit, blackberry and crème de cassis. Those fruity tones segue to spice, leather, tobacco and barbecue smoke. Roasted espresso bean and dusty chocolate appear on the full-bodied finish. This is a complete, rich and nicely extracted red wine from the Tuscan Coast. The blend is 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc.
Plenty of ripe blackberry and incense. Opens up beautifully in the glass. So perfumed. Full body and seamless tannins that coat your palate with a silky texture. Wonderfully framed with complex fruit. Drink in 2021 but already gorgeous.
