Score 92/100 · Drink 2018-2030, Josh Raynolds, Feb 2015
Light, bright yellow-gold. Heady orchard and dried pit fruit aromas are complicated by notes of beeswax, chamomile, chalky minerals and anise. Chewy and sharply focused, offering bitter pear skin, peach pit and Meyer lemon flavors that smoothly meld richness and vivacity. The mineral quality comes back on the finish and adds grip to the lingering peach nectar and dried fig flavors. Quite complex right now but this wine has the depth to reward further patience.
