Tasting notes
The 2015 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru puts in a deeply impressive showing. Perfumed and floral on the nose, this is pure and utterly seductive, with wonderful mineralité and precision, touches of incense emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with vivacious red berry fruit, real depth and dimension. It's silky smooth to the point where you almost think this comes from Vosne. Tender finish, this is going to be a beauty. Tasted blind at the Wallace brothers' Xmas dinner.

Glowing bright purple, very intense fruit, ripe but pure and balanced. Very good intensity here, dark fruit, fully ripe, but the structure behind is impeccable, getting better and better.
Cask sample. 40% stems. Much riper on the nose than the Champeaux. Sweet and spicy but with a dry, fine texture. Lithe and scented on the palate. Persistent too. Tightly woven.
