Tasting notes
Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru was showing just a touch of reduction on the nose, but otherwise I appreciate the delineation and mineralité on display here. The palate is precise and citrus-driven, a palpable sense of energy from start to finish and it fans out gloriously and with a surfeit of confidence. There is some new oak to be assimilated but I am sure it will. One of the best Corton-Charlemagnes in 2013. Tasted May 2016.
