Tasting notes
Very subdued nose hints at ripe orchard fruits and butter, plus a discreet suggestion of soft citrus fruit. Plush, dense and rich but with slightly disjointed acidity and some obvious spicy oak. Really clamps down on the saline finish, suggesting that this wine will need patience. Will it gain in complexity?

Smoky, very minerally indeed. Rather restrained. Well done – but still very expensive! Quite a mouthful. (JR)
Pale yellow. Discreet aromas of citrus fruits, pineapple, wet stone and menthol. Ripe citrus and orchard fruits are nicely framed by penetrating acidity, but this wine is less harmonious in the early going than the Rémilly. There's a deep sweetness here but also slightly tart acidity. This youthfully tight wine softened somewhat with air, showing its oak component.
