Tasting notes
Brilliant straw-yellow. Lively, mineral-accented orchard and pit fruit and floral aromas, along with a deeper suggestion of honey. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering vibrant Meyer lemon and pear flavors that deepen and spread out on the back half. The floral and honey notes come back strong on a very long, juicy, focused finish that shows no rough edges.

A wine that should be on everyone’s must-buy list is the 2015 Condrieu from André Perret, which comes from a mix of Perret’s holdings in the heart of the appellation. Citrus blossom, powdered rock, white cherries and rose petal notes all emerge from this killer, fresh, lively, gorgeously pure Condrieu that has everything you could ask from this grape. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and focused, buy a case or more, drink bottles over the coming 2-3 years, and count yourself lucky!
Bottled August. Heady and very lively. Very definitely more savoury and complete – with a hint of (attractive) golden syrup on the nose and dry, blossomy finish. Smoky too. Very good. And already satisfying. (JR)
