Tasting notes
Brilliant straw. Intensely perfumed, mineral-accented citrus fruits and white flowers on the incisive nose. Stains the palate with vibrant lime, green apple and quince flavors that slowly open up and acquire a hint of fennel with aeration. Concentrated yet strikingly lithe, displaying outstanding finishing clarity, mineral lift and drive. This consistently outstanding Riesling, which I count among Australia's handful of top white wines (or wines of any color, actually), is always a great cellar candidate.

As always, made using free-run juice, and fermented with a neutral cultured yeast, placing all the focus on the expression of variety and place. The bouquet is gloriously floral with sweet lemon blossom aromas, the palate with diamond-cut purity and clarity. Natural acidity is part of the DNA of this classic wine, underlining its spring day freshness.
Pale greenish straw. Light and floral and fresh. Very tight indeed. Real introversion. Not nearly ready compared with Springvale. Lots to chew on. (JR)
There's a lot to enjoy in this richly fruited, powerfully structured riesling. Peach, lime and slate on the nose, mouthwatering concentrated lime citrus on the palate, and terrific detail and length. Drink now. Screw cap. Jul 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
