Very ripe, musky stone fruit aromas come across as a bit less lively than those of the Meix Chavaux and perhaps more typical of this very warm vintage. Distinctly more yellow-fruity and spicy in the mouth, showing less extract richness but a supple texture and a touch of warmth. This wine appears to be evolving faster than the Meix Chavaux and should drink earlier.

The 2015 Meursault Les Luchets has a very strict bouquet, quite granitic with fumé scents, nicely focused with hints of Granny Smith apples and freshly sliced Conference pear. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, a little richer than the Mes Chavaux, but maybe just missing that killer precision on the finish. Hopefully this will catch up with its stablemates in the future.

Cask sample. He has more than 1 ha; his biggest holding. Only four owners here. Starting to go uphill. Not much nose yet. But very broad appeal on the palate. It just needs a little more tension. (JR)

Green-tinged yellow. Musky, reduced but very fresh nose offers scents of citrus fruits, white flowers and quinine. Rich, tactile and energetic in the mouth, displaying clear saline minerality and a captivating light touch for 2015. I tasted this wine from barrique and from a Stockinger foudre , as well as a blend of the two, and the sample from foudre brought the quinine element and limey cut. Finishes bright, sappy and long, showing none of the vintage's exotic side. Should make a splendid village wine.
