(a blend of three vineyards, including Gruyaches and Crotots): Pale yellow. Spicy yellow fruits dominate the nose. The spicy character carries through in the mouth, which is surprisingly tightly wound and precise, not to mention intense. Finishes with lovely subtle length and cut. An excellent village wine.

The 2015 Meursault Village, which comes mostly from Clos de Baronne, was ready for bottling (essentially the finished wine). It has a crisp lime flower and red apple scented bouquet, later just a hint of grilled almond that enhanced the complexity. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity that cuts through the surprisingly mineral-rich citrus fruit. There is a lovely saline tang that lingers on the finish. Enjoy this lovely, well-crafted Meursault over the next six to eight years.
Cask sample. Several plots including 80% Clos de la Baronne (bought with Lafon) . Less expressive on the nose currently than the Bourgogne Blanc though doubtless it will get there. Great raciness and some green sherbet character. Almost gassy. Lots to play for. (JR)
Pale, green-tinged yellow. Fruit-driven nose and palate dominated by lime and lemon drop. Thick, fat and ripe but with nicely integrated acidity energizing the middle palate. Should make a rich village wine.
