Tasting notes
(bottled in April): Bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime leaf, subtle herbs and flowers. Shows more size than nuance or intensity. The wine's terroir character and salinity only appeared late in its élevage , noted Nadine Gublin.

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Santenots has a little more terroir expression than its peers on the nose, a pleasant saline note emerging with aeration. The palate is fresh on the entry with hints of peach and watermelon, and might have deserved a higher evaluation had there been more salinity and nervosité on the finish. Drink over the next 4-6 years.
(malo finished a month before my visit): Bright, pale, green-tinged yellow. Inviting aromas of white peach, lemon zest, flowers and herbs. Brisk lemony acidity gives lift to the firm palate. Juicy and youthfully tight, even a bit reduced, but shows good texture and thrust.
