Score 94/100 · Drink 2021-2031, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2017
(13.45% alcohol with acidity of 5 grams per liter; the crop level was just 26 hectoliters per hectare, according to Cournut): Bright, pale greenish-yellow color. Slightly high-toned aromas of lime zest, menthol, dusty stone and metallic minerality. Firm and penetrating on the palate, offering vibrant flavors of lemon, lime and crushed stone. Very young and not yet expansive but easier to taste today than La Romanée, in spite of its strongly citric character. Finishes with outstanding salinity and slowly building length. This backward wine will require patience.
