Tasting notes
In bottle, Leflaive's 2015 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Folatieres has found reserves of tension and precision that belie its buxom showing from barrel, opening in the glass with a pure bouquet of white peach, stone fruit pits, confit lemon, spring flowers, pastry cream and a discrete framing of new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and complete with impressive harmony and a long, classy finish. Elegant, harmonious and youthfully reserved, this classic Folatieres should really hit its stride after five years in bottle. Matured in 20% new oak and bottled under Diam 30.
