Tasting notes
(planted at a remarkable 24,000 vines per hectare; the only one of these wines aging in fût , in this case a 2013 barrel): Distinctly citrussy aromas of lemon and lime zest complicated by coconut and smoke nuances. Plush, silky and very ripe, with its pineapple and lichee flavors enlivened by a repeating citrus quality. In a distinctly spherical style yet extremely closed, with no way in in the early going. The wine's resounding aftertaste suggests it will reward cellaring; it will certainly require it.
