Tasting notes
Lemon, white peach and musky minerality on the nose, along with a touch of smoky reduction. At once supple and minerally, conveying a thickness of texture and attractive restrained sweetness. This very smooth, rich 2015 shows no rough edges but is not yet displaying the personality of the Maltroie or Morgeot. A bit more phenolic on the back end, perhaps because this bottling is entirely from 55-year-old vines; beginning with vintage 2016, this cuveé includes father Michel's en Remilly parcel planted in 1989.

Cask sample. Racked in September for bottling in March 2017. Particularly well exposed parcel in the southern extension of En Remilly near Chevalier-Montrachet. Just three barrels a year. Great tension and raciness. Really very fine. Lots to chew on. Very serious wine. (JR)
