Score 89/100 · Drink 2018-2027, Neal Martin, Nov 2018
The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru is candied and tropical on the nose of mango and clementine plus a hint of passion fruit with time, but displays little in the way of terroir expression. The palate is smooth on the entry, low in acidity and, like the aromatics, rather anonymous and lacking personality and energy. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Subdued aromas of lemon and menthol complicated by Puligny noble herbs. Deep, chewy wine with very good saline density of material. One senses the mineral power underneath but it comes through today more in the wine's structure than in its flavor. This big boy builds impressively on the lingering finish.
