The Vosne village offer fine weight and concentration for this level – it’s however made with a light hand – so very Bourgundian even in a big vintage like this. The nose offer relatively dark fruit, with some energetic elements of red fruit and a nice Vosne spiciness. On the palate rich and juicy with a lovely nerve and energy. This will be a classic Vosne village – in the best sense of the word. Jun 2016, www.winehog.org, Drink: 2026+

(from 5 different parcels located in La Columbière, Champs Goudins and Le Pré de la Folie, which are contiguous vineyards located below the village and above the Route Nationale). A spicy and markedly floral nose blends aromas of red currant, raspberry and sandalwood. There is better underlying energy and punch to the relatively powerful and concentrated flavors that also display noticeable warmth on the detailed and mildly austere finale. The 2015 Vosne-Romanee Villages is fabulous, soaring from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of cherry, raspberry, sweet spices, black chocolate and a framing of creamy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, with a rich chassis of tannins, bright acids and a long, intense and youthfully firm finish. With the depth and structure for the long haul, this is a Vosne villages to cellar for a decade or more. Apr 2018, www.robertparker.com
