Tasting notes
The 2015 Nuits St Georges Aux St Julien is 100% whole cluster fruit with 20% new oak. It has a gorgeous and very pure bouquet with vibrant red cherry and cranberry fruit that is neatly enmeshed with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, well-judged acidity, a little masculine at the moment, but I appreciate the focus and energy here. Classic in style, this should develop with style once in bottle. Don't be afraid to cellar this 2-3 years.

(100% vendange entier ; 25% new oak; from vines averaging 40 years of age): Bright medium red. Aromas of black cherry, soil and leather convey a slight rusticity. Shows more mid-palate texture than the Pommard Les Cras that preceded it in my tasting but also a drier impression. Displays good calcaire energy and a touch of tobacco, finishing with faintly dusty tannins.
