2015 Musigny

(this fruit was picked on September 13): Moderately saturated medium red. Knockout fully ripe nose combines raspberry, stony minerality and smoke. Like liquid silk in the mouth; hugely concentrated and alive, conveying a powerful impression of energy to its flavors of raspberry, crushed stone and spices. Best today on the extremely long, almost painful back end, which features wonderfully refined tannins and electric saline minerality.
