Tasting notes
The 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which comes from lieu-dit of Vignes Blanches, has a generous, raspberry coulis, redcurrant and red plum-scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, bright redcurrant and strawberry fruit with a pinch of spice towards the controlled, understated finish. Very fine and very classy, give this 3-4 years in bottle before it begins to stretch its wings.

(from the lieu-dit Vignes Blanches; 33% vendange entier ; the only grand cru that had been racked at the time of my mid-November visit, after having started in 50% new oak): Bright medium red. Very subtle, sexy aromas of raspberry, geranium and high-pitched spices. Offers terrific finesse to its silky flavors of raspberry and spices lifted by a black pepper note and good energy from the stems. This juicy, ripe, intense wine finishes long and perfumed. A rather sensual 2015, this is likely to offer relatively early accessibility and age well.
