Tasting notes
Moderately saturated medium red. Pungent aromas of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, spices, rose petal, mocha and crushed stone; this Pommard has Chambolle-like vibrancy. Wonderfully silky and suave on the palate, with dark cherry, chocolate and dried rose flavors lifted by chalky energy. Offers a compelling combination of sweet and saline elements and finishes with refined tannins for the vintage. A very suave, long Pommard with a light touch and terrific verve.

A ripe, fresh and pure array is composed by notes of red and dark pinot fruit, plum and violet. There is a bit more volume and richness to the full-bodied and more powerful big-bodied flavors that manage to retain an appealing precision that carries over to the mouth coating, complex and solidly persistent finish. Paler dark red than the Epenots. Complex nose offers notes of redcurrant, flowers, minerals and crushed rock, plus a clean limestone quality. Cooler and more penetrating than the Epenots, combining superb lift and definition and terrific penetration and finesse. Boasts terrific life in the mouth and on the slowly rising finish, where the tannins are substantial but fine-grained and perfectly buffered.
