Tasting notes
Medium red. Cool aromas of black cherry, licorice and mint. Juicy and energetic, offering good cut to the flavors of dark fruits, spices and menthol. A serious Bourgogne with fine-grained tannins.

The 2015 Bourgogne Pinot Noir was slightly pinched on the nose when I tasted it from barrel, leaning more towards black rather than red fruit at the moment. The palate is well structured for a generic red Burgundy, blackberry and strawberry fruit with plenty of sous-bois on the finish. This is a superb Bourgogne Rouge that will last longer than most people will allow.
Between the RN74 and Volnay vineyards – an especially good strip for Bourgogne. Sweet, straightforward fruity nose. Fine tannins and a dry finish. Racy and correct. Should age well. Nothing forced. (JR)
