Tasting notes
This extraordinary Premier Cru is created to celebrate the very best vintages of the region. Commemorating both the Maison's foundation in 1859 and its geographical roots, this deeply flavoured and rich cuvee bears all the hallmarks of this ripe vintage. Produced from 100% pinot noir, the grapes originate from various single-vineyard sites - all featured on the bottle's label. Matured for 18 months in oak barrels, then a further six months in stainless steel to harmonise the blend of the various climats, its powerful aromas and elegant tannins embody a great year in Beaune's vineyards. This will age beautifully for at least 30 years. Only made in the very best vintages. Enticingly fragrant on the nose with aromas of ripe cherry and raspberry intermingled with layers of wood smoke, earthiness and spice. Powerful and rich, characteristic of the 2015 vintage, with a firm tannic structure and serious depth that is built to age.
