Tasting notes
Score 89-92/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

Copious wood all but dominates the markedly ripe yet attractively fresh nose of dark currant, underbrush and Gevrey-style sauvage notes. The palate impression of the dense, powerful and muscular flavors is also super-rich thanks to the abundance of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm tannic spine shaping the impressively long finish. The wood treatment isn’t subtle but the underlying material is so strong that this should easily be capable of absorbing it in time. This is unusually good for its level. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
