Tasting notes
Good medium red. Very ripe aromas of candied raspberry and spices. Densely packed, sweet and fleshy but juicy too, with its raspberry and saline mineral flavors complicated by leather and game nuances. Finishes with a serious dusting of tannins and very good length. A touch warm but I like this.

The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echézeaux has a well defined bouquet with red cherry and raspberry, demonstrating fine mineralité and tension. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin and good weight in the mouth, although it needs a little more substance and precision towards the finish, a bit more energy to come through.
South of the village, planted in 1928 just below Mazoyères, and a vineyard from his mother. Planted at 12,000 vines/ha. Just racked into tank prior to tasting. Deep crimson. Savoury and very defined on the nose. Bright cherry fruit. Quite firm tannins. Not that much fruit density. (JR)
Medium red. Wild aromas of red cherry, strawberry, smoke and game. Sweet, plush red fruit flavors convey a candied nuance but ripe acidity gives shape to the middle palate. The wild, gamey quality carries through onto the palate and is joined by an element of saline minerality. The chewy finish shows good length.
