The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge comes from the domaine's own vines supplemented by contracted fruit. It has a light, candied bouquet with kirsch and orange sorbet aromas. The palate is balanced with sappy red cherries and strawberry fruit, leading to a rounded, generous finish.

50% domaine Gilly and 50% Fixin. Increased the entry level offer: 5,000 bottles. Pretty impressive depth of colour. Very charming bitter-cherry fruit. Salty edge. Just a little lean on the end. (JR)

There is a touch of rusticity to the cherry, raspberry and earth-suffused nose. The attractively textured flavors possess both good volume and richness before delivering fine complexity on the equally rustic finale. This is a quality Bourgogne that has enough structure to warrant allowing it a few years of bottle age first. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
