50% domaine Gilly and 50% Fixin. Increased the entry level offer: 5,000 bottles. Pretty impressive depth of colour. Very charming bitter-cherry fruit. Salty edge. Just a little lean on the end. (JR)
There is a touch of rusticity to the cherry, raspberry and earth-suffused nose. The attractively textured flavors possess both good volume and richness before delivering fine complexity on the equally rustic finale. About the producer
Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
