Tasting notes
Medium red. A confiture of red berries and red cherry on the nose, with accents of spices and herbs. Round on the palate but conveys a slightly diffuse quality to its red fruit and spice flavors. Finishes with dusty tannins.

(this wine was racked before the 2016 harvest and returned to a tonneau ): Healthy dark red. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry and exotic brown spices. Supple and spicy, but offers only modest depth and refinement to its chocolate and licorice flavors. A bit aggressive on the end, with a licorice quality lingering in the empty glass.
Here too there is just enough wood to notice framing the earthy and discreetly spicy red currant aromas. The supple, round and delicious middle weight flavors possess good punch on the firm and somewhat rustic finale. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
