Score 89/100 · Drink 2018-2030, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2018

The 2015 Gevrey Chambertin En Champ reveals a lovely and expressive nose of sweet cherry, raspberry, cedar and currant leaf, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate framed by fine-grained tannins and sappy acids. This is an elegant and delicious Gevrey villages that should offer a broad drinking window.

(made from five parcels): Good full red. Expressive aromas of redcurrant, licorice and leather lifted by a minty high note. Somewhat sauvage red berry, red cherry liqueur and leather flavors are given a juicy character by notes of spices and flowers. Finishes slightly salty and dry-edged--a bit wild for me.

(from Brochon). A restrained, cool and layered nose offers a bit more complexity with its pretty array of red currant, earth and herbal tea scents. There is both good richness and verve to the delicious and attractively textured flavors that are sufficiently forward that this should drink well young too if desired. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
