Tasting notes
The 2015 Musigny Grand Cru is matured in two new barrels. It has a very intense bouquet with dark cherries, Griottes, cold stone and blood orange notes that are extremely well defined and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, very saline so that the front of the tongue tingles with pleasure, but there is enormous structure on the back palate, its weight affirming that this is a long-term proposition that will need 8-10 years in bottle. This is a majestic Musigny.

(from a .12 ha parcel). This possesses the most elegant and perhaps the most complex nose in the range with its wonderfully broad-ranging mix of spices, Asian-style tea, sandalwood and dark berry-suffused aromas. There is equally kaleidoscopic breadth to the muscular yet seductive and highly refined flavors that deliver super power with absolutely no sense of weight or heaviness, all wrapped in a punchy precise and hugely long finish. This is sheer class in a glass with outstanding development potential. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
