Tasting notes
The Vosne-Romanee village is a big wine for it’s level .. with the alcohol level notching 14%. The nose offer ripe red and dark fruits brought forward by a nice earthy minerality and a lovely Vosne spicyness. On the palate generous and quite weigthy fruit .. a vinous wine offering plenty of Vosne in the glass. Jun 2016, www.winehog.org

(the blend is mostly from Damaudes with a small proportion of Hautes Maizières). Much more subtle wood sets off overtly spicy aromas of cassis, black cherry and violet scents. The wonderfully seductive flavors possess a velvety and caressing texture while delivering sneaky good length on the firm but balanced structure. This is inviting but serious and it should repay up to a decade of cellaring. Worth checking out. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
The 2015 Vosne Romanee has a light-hearted, almost nonchalant bouquet with perfumed red cherry and mulberry fruit, well defined and quite intense. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, fine acidity, just a little hardness towards the finish, although that will dissipate by the time this is in bottle. For a village cru this is perfectly satisfying. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
