Scented clove and truffle, with dried red fruit and flint. Plenty of structure, which is starting to resolve. Pretty good length, albeit with some finish warmth. (TJ)

Much better fruit ripeness than their village Vosne. Plenty of oak in support, and a ripe fragrant finish to the palate. Easy to drink now, but has the power and density to last for a decade. (RH)
(Bouchard purchases wine from two sources, supplying their own barrels to the growers): Dark red with ruby highlights. More liqueur-like and extreme than the Gevrey villages that preceded it in my tasting, offering notes of tropical dark chocolate and licorice. Quite concentrated and plush but a bit high-toned; shows a chocolate element that I associate with this premier cru but today I don't find the class of Suchots. Weber, who does not vinify this cuvée , prefers the delicacy of the 2014 version even if this is sweeter. I find it a bit chunky and medicinal, with the tannins slightly dry. In need of time to harmonize--or was this fruit simply picked a bit too late?
