Tasting notes
This is also quite spicy but it's also more perfumed with cool and airy aromas of plum, violet and lavender. Supple, round and utterly delicious and seductive medium weight flavors possess a polished mouthfeel thanks to the moderately firm but fine-grained tannins that possess first-rate depth on the highly persistent and notably firm finish. This notably rich effort is textbook Charmes that should drink well young will need at least 12+ years to arrive at its full apogee.

Lovely floral aromas that really give the full Chambolle aroma. Long and aromatic with equal parts enjoyable primary fruit, spice, rounded tannin and long, lingering persistence. Shouldn't need too long in the cellar before it starts blossoming. (RH) 18+/20 Points
Cask sample. Mid cherry. Sweet strawberries and cherries on the nose – super-fruity and a delicate spice note. Very sweet red fruit on the palate – extraordinarily strawberry. The dry finesse just holds that sweetness in check. (JH)
(from a .66 ha parcel). Here too there is enough wood present to remark upon framing the spicier and more layered nose of pomegranate, red cherry, plum and lavender scents. Once again there is more volume and richness to the delicious, stylish and refined flavors that also coat the palate on the seductively textured and lingering finale. Lovely and very Charmes in basic character. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
