Tasting notes
Cask sample. Light cherry red. Ripe fruits, even a touch of prunes here but not really overripe. Fine-boned, dry, powdery texture. Really persistent even though it seems quite subtle on the palate. Its class shows in the persistence. I think Les Amoureuses is a better bet. (JH)

(from a .34 ha parcel located 100% in terres rouges). Interestingly there is also a touch of sandalwood present here as well on the much more restrained nose of red currant, earth, underbrush and a hint of the sauvage. As one would expect there is more volume, power and intensity to the relatively concentrated medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by moderately firm tannins on the beautifully persistent finish. This too would best be allowed at least 5 to 7 years of cellaring and should reward as many as 10. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
