Solid, chestnut flavours. Lots of stuff to go round. Jan 2017, www.jancisrobinson.com, Drink: 2016-2026
The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge, which contains a little new oak, has a composed, refined bouquet of dark berry fruit mixed with a touch of woodland. The palate is fresh and crisp with crunchy, but fine tannin, and nicely structured with a bright, vivacious finish. A delicious Bourgogne Rouge, no more, no less. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
Excellent deep red color for basic Bourgogne. High-piched aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, with the blackberry, cassis and licorice flavors framed by ripe acidity. Aeration brings a suggestion of almost chocolatey ripeness but there's nothing thick or sloppy about this wine. Finishes firmly tannic and alive. Should make a very tasty Bourgogne Rouge. Barthod creates this wine from 15 different parcels. Jan 2017, www.vinous.com
