This will be aged exclusively in puncheons in a few years’ time. Bottled from 2008 with much of the fruit effectively declassified Grange. Generous and spicy on the nose. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz offers classic Maranaga notes of baked berries, preserved plums and blueberry pie with incense, mincemeat, licorice and spice box hints. Full-bodied and concentrated, it’s wonderfully rich and spicy in the mouth with velvety tannins and great length. This is beautifully expressive of the sub-region.

A relatively recent arrival into the Penfolds Bin range, and has been a success from the outset. A dense and rich full-bodied shiraz, with a phalanx of purple and black fruits framed by 14 months maturation in French and American oak. Ripe tannins put the seal on the future of a long-lived wine.
