(from purchased juice): Bright, light yellow. Deep, sexy scents of lemon, apple, pear, herbs, fresh-cut grass and mint. A supple, moderately concentrated, middle-of-the-road style of Charmes with lemon and grass flavors showing limited complexity. Finishes slightly aggressive but persistent. I don't find the full ripeness of the vintage's better examples.
The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes has a clean, correct bouquet with yellow flowers and hints of acacia honey emerging with time. The palate is crisp on the entry with good acidity, waxy in texture with a slightly short finish that will hopefully gain more persistence once in bottle.
