Light bright yellow. Aromas and flavors of fresh pear and orange, accompanied by a waxy nuance in the background. Dry and chewy on the palate, showing decent depth and a bit of back-end warmth. Echoes the waxy note on the finish, which hangs on with good persistence.

The 2015 Saint Joseph Ro-Ree Blanc is also impressive, with a huge nose of orange blossom, tangerine, citrus and flowers. Made from 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne that was brought up all in barrel, drink this honeyed, exotic, incredibly perfumed white over the coming 3-4 years.
